We are living in an age where using a computer is virtually as commonplace as driving a car, so the time is ripe for qualified computer training centres to also be as commonplace as the driving schools available nationwide.
To bring world-class IT literacy to your doorstep, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched the ITBASE program - equipping computer training centres all over the country, in both rural and urban areas, to offer an internationally-recognised ICT certification at affordable fees.
Aptly-named the International Computer Driving License (ICDL), this certification program covers nearly 80% of the computer skill areas and is available in 150 countries where it is adopted and endorsed by governments, international organizations and multinational companies including computer giant IBM.
This means that an ICDL holder will be someone who is a competent user of the personal computer and common computer applications with the knowledge of essential IT concepts - from the working executive to the homemaker, from a young graduate to a retired senionr citizen.
The ITBASE program is managed by My-Partners Sdn Bhd and endorsed by the Kuala Lumpur University (UniKL). With our strong track record of helping people and organisations move and stay ahead through ICT application, we are in a highly viable position to contribute to the bridging of the ICT gap in the country even as we endeavour to stay ahead in the industry.
ITBASE also brings together the Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd who is in charge of the training of trainers and technopreneurship development, and MSCMS Sdn Bhd. for the ICDL certification.
